It's MONDAY STILL
I'm committed to Monday writings, and being on holiday at one's parents' (a five hour flight and 3 hour drive away) while their aunt and uncle visit, is taking a toll.
In addition to the above…who’s uncle (Tor-Arne) from Norway I want to record as “Anders,” the Norwegian from The Sequence, who is light on voice-over acting experience (read – none) along with persistent and welcome visits from neighbours wishing to see our beautiful 8 week old son, along with vague attempts at fathering, along with being labelled an “ass” by one’s wife, along with a Human Resources nightmare paperwork event to send off to management at the actual job that pays the actual bills that allow us to travel from the west coast to Ontario to enjoy all of this lovely weather, lakefront, and run-on sentences, has created a difficult creative environment.
So IT’S FUCKING MONDAY STILL. And I have yet to figure out entirely how to operate Substack, but I’m working on it. And False Ignition. So when I find the time tomorrow I will make the entire site unpaid (which it is currently as there are no paid subscribers) and hopefully sort out the posts/notes/chats situ as I’m not there yet. The reason for that is that my son Declan is cuter than you could possibly imagine and I want to be present for all of his coo’s and giggles and smiley-faces - not in-digitas for the record, but in close and absorbable.
AT THE PARENTS’
It’s spectacular here, and I can’t wait to share photos, however my family’s non-Apple infrastructure seems somehow to have directed literal hate towards my own Apple products. This post is going out on under 40% battery power on the MacBook and the iPhone is currently dead. I am not without travel accessories, as some of you may know I’m a pilot that operates to multiple countries and we have things like iPads that need to be charged to certain percentages prior to reporting for duty. Things I couldn’t do apparently if I overnighted here in Kincardine, Ontario.
After a brief discussion with my father we have discovered that wireless charging on my iPhone is working so in the morning I’ll send off some pics for this freeness that seems to be running long in the tooth. The pictures up top may remain the same but they will begin to change as I learn Substack. Stay Tuned. Better things cometh.
MONDAY is running long so new chapters from The Sequence will be up tomorrow morning and there shall be links available to my other social medias as well.
Look forward to a live audio blog with fellow authors in the future and a live reading by yours truly of the entirety of The Sequence.
Cheers,
Lucien
